Amitayus Retreat – unguided

Saturday 5th – Sunday 6th February

Amitayus Retreat – increase your lifespan, wisdom and good fortune

On this two day retreat we have the opportunity to increase our lifespan, merit and wisdom through the special meditation practice of Buddha Amitayus. Our human life is our most precious possession, because it gives us the opportunity to improve ourselves and attain the supreme happiness of enlightenment. For those who wish to experience pure happiness, the greatest obstacles are death and ignorance. Death destroys the opportunity that we have to take the essence of our human life and ignorance destroys our opportunity to develop a  pure experience of Dharma. To overcome these obstacles, we need to increase our lifespan and our wisdom, and the principal method for doing this is the practice of Buddha Amitayus. By engaging in this practice we create the cause to increase our lifespan, merit and wisdom, enabling us to take the essence of our precious human life.
Each session lasts for 1hr 15mins and consists of chanted meditations sung in English and silent mantra recitation.
Long life pills that have been blessed throughout the retreat will be distributed after the last session on the last day

No meditation experience necessary. Everyone is welcome at this special event.  Drop into any session.
